I combine dance and film in an unusual way. Add to these music, and what emerges are media poems that are cinematic dances.
My choreography involves repetitive movement, stretches, turns, rolls and balances.
Music is my inspiration. Drumming, classical, pop, rock—all are springboards propelling me into movement.
Film is the multiplier. What starts as a simple movement can be repeated, reflected, reverberated and echoed. It’s dancesquared — dance in its multiple potential. And it has the oddest effect on gravity; which is to say, it becomes expendable.
